We touch heaven when we lay our hands on a human body.

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Due to the ongoing serious health concerns of COVID-19, my therapy office is temporarily closed. I am monitoring the situation with close attention, and will reopen my doors at the earliest time it appears safe to do so. Your well-being is always at the forefront of my approach to massage therapy.

When we are able to meet again for appointments, I will have in place stringent disinfecting practices and office policies that ensure our safety. On the "Fees, Forms, & Office" page, you can read the new office policies and practices for massage therapy appointments, enhanced disinfecting practices in place in my office from now forward, and the brief COVID-19 health questionnaire and consent to treatment that you will be asked to sign before every appointment.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss anything with me after reading these documents, please get in touch via phone or email (included below). Even when I am available for appointments, only you can decide when you are comfortable and ready to come in for a massage.  I have greatly missed being in touch with you all, and I look forward to serving you again whenever it feels right to do so.

Warmly,

Lynda

Support Small

Massage is an ancient healing art that has its foundation in the basic human need for touch. This discipline provides compassionate, informed touch to address and heal imbalances we carry in our bodies.

I have practiced massage therapy & bodywork in the Tuscaloosa community since 1997. I strive to provide every client with an opportunity to enhance their capacity for self-healing on all levels. My appreciation of the sacred privilege of working with people in this vein informs my approach to every session.

In 1985, I graduated from the Atlanta School of Massage, and I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist since that time. Since 2002, I have been a Reiki Master Teacher. I am a Registered Yoga Teacher at the 500-hour level (RYT500) with Yoga Alliance. I also hold a Masters degree in Community Psychology.

Over the years, my continuing education in massage & bodywork, and the focus of my practice, have been primarily orthopedic & sports massage, relief of strain due to imbalance & overuse, myofascial release & stretch techniques, and various approaches to subtle energywork. Experiences with my clients over the years have been the most valuable teachings about restoring balance, healthy function, and comfort in our physical and energetic bodies.

Thank you!

The one thing I know for certain

and have applied every day in my life

is that the mind and the body are one.
